Help us regenerate Westgate

Regeneration of Westgate, Drogheda

Louth County Council has launched an exciting project for the regeneration and development of the Westgate Vision Area in Drogheda. This project seeks to recover the streetscape and provide high quality public spaces that will transform Westgate and act as a catalyst for positive regeneration of the area in the broader town centre.

The project represents the first stage of the Westgate Vision, launched by Louth County Council in 2018, which is a targeted planning response aimed at channelling investment into this core area. A key objective of the project is to prepare an application for funding under the Urban Regeneration Development Fund. This current project stage is also funded under the same scheme.

Louth County Council would like to thank stakeholders and members of the community for taking part in our survey and joining our public information webinar. Our Design Team are preparing options using insights from your contributions and a final option will be presented to the public in the coming weeks.
